The catching up of the church, there are certain qualities that the five wise virgins possess; compared to the five foolish virgins. We are going to discuss these qualities so we can understand what we need; to be caught up with Jesus Christ when he comes. This parable is really important to the followers of Jesus Christ, we want to be ready.

25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom

Here we can clearly see that all of the virgins new that Jesus was coming, all ten took their lamps to go and meet Jesus.

2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

There is a great distinction here ten virgin’s half of them were wise and half were foolish. This is a big deal. In today’s world we are approaching 3 billion Christians worldwide could you Imagin if half of them were not ready to meet Jesus and got left behind. Think about that for a moment Half!

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

The foolish virgin took their lamps, the lamp represents yourself Luke 17:21 says!
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is inside of you. The Holy Spirit is the oil that lights your lamp without him there will be no light inside of you.

Ephesians 1:13 says!
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

The Holy Spirit is so important for everyone who believes; without the Holy Spirit you have no light inside you no one to teach you Jesus words and what they represent or how they relate to you in your own walk.

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Genuine faith in Jesus Christ allows the believer to be sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise. Lets take a look at Romans 10:9-10

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Believing in Jesus Christ with all your heart is how you become established as a wise virgin without Genuine faith it will be impossible to please God a true relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is the key to being wise.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

You will notice here in verse 5 that all the virgins fell asleep and a cry was made Jesus is coming and in verse 7 all the virgins awoke and all trimmed their lamps. But the foolish virgins asked the wise to give them some their oil {Holy Spirit}. Believers are unable to give you their Holy Spirit, and why is that lets take a look at Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit is an individual free gift to every believer, the Holy Spirit will love teach you the way you need to be taught. We as the followers of Jesus Christ can’t give you our Holy Spirit. The Heavenly Father can though let’s take a look at Luke 11:13

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Are you are struggling in your relationship with Jesus Christ ask the father in the name Jesus for the Holy Spirit the word God says that Jesus baptizes you with the Holy Ghost look at Matthew 3:11

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John the Baptist spoke about Jesus in this verse above we can’t depend on believers for there Holy Spirit we can’t give that to you only Jesus Christ has the power to give the Holy Spirit. Without faith and believing in Jesus Christ you will never receive the Holy Spirit how important this is for everyone who believes.

9 But the wise answered, saying, not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

You cannot buy the Holy Spirit of promise, there is no counter fit at a market or a store, either you have trusted in Jesus to receive the Holy Spirit as a free gift for those who believe or you have not believed. You can go to a store and buy the holy bible to receive the information you need to receive Jesus, and then Jesus will seal you once you have believed in him with Genuine faith.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the son of man cometh.

We our supposed to be vigilant and watch for the coming of Jesus, having a relationship with the Holy Spirit is the key to being in relationship. Studying Gods word being in Prayer and fasting are all keys to this relationship that is so powerful this how the door is opened to you and allows to enter into the marriage. Let’s go to
Acts 13:2-3

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Remember that the Holy Spirit is key if you are struggling in prayer to receive answers fasting can open doors for you and Holy Spirit will pour out blessings among you. Don’t give up know matter what is going on in your life seek the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction and remember the Holy Spirit will teach according to John 14:26

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Please remember that Jesus Christ loves you and without the Holy Spirit you will miss entrance and the door will be shut lets be like the wise virgins who were ready and remember that Jesus is coming soon.
